About the Author
Chan Kwok-bun is Chair Professor of Sociology, Hong Kong Baptist University. He has spent years researching overseas Chinese identities, business networks and immigrant entrepreneurship within the theoretical frameworks of economic sociology, social psychology, sociology of emotions, and family sociology. He is former chief editor of Social Transformation in Chinese Societies, an official journal of the Hong Kong Sociological Association, of which he also served as President.
